If I could change the world, I would make sure that my loved ones especially you will not have to suffer any problems...I would have enough resources to ensure that you will not have to worry about anything..
If I could change the world..I will want smiles and laughter be an everyday theme for u and sadness will never ever creeps up and surprised us..
If I could change the world, you will have everything that your heart desire and not be pressured by unnecessary distractions.
If I could change the world, we will never ever have to be apart..every moment would be spent together regardless of the situation.
I I could change the world, every tears will be wiped away from you with my gentle hands caressing your face..
If I could change the world, you would be the happiest woman in this whole wide world and universe..
If I could change the world...

The Scientist..
The song that never interest me..that is until the movie Wicker Park two years ago...Since then, I've grown to appreciate it more and more each day. These are the beautiful words...
Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you
Tell you I need you
Tell you I've set you apart
Tell me your secrets
And ask me your questions
Oh, let's go back to the start
Running in circles
Coming up tails
Heads on the science apart
Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh take me back to the start
I was just guessing
At numbers and figures
Pulling the puzzles apart
Questions of science
Science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart
Oh tell me you love me
Come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start
Running in circles
Chasing our tails
Coming back as we are
Nobody said it was easy
Oh, it's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be so hard
I’m going back to the start
Oh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ah ooh ooh ooh ooh

Cross-Road (Ramblings of a spotless mind)
I am tired about everything..work and other stuff are taking its toll on me. I fear I may have lost the fire that has driven me to work hard at everything. I have not been happy for quite awhile, happiness is only an illusion.
The saying going with the flow is an understatement. I need something to wake me from the numbness in my mind and in my heart. Appearance can be deceiving-I may seem happy when I'm around friends, colleagues, or even family. Inside, I'm just an empty void, and I need something..
Sadness and despair are norms for me...I am tired, of everything, of every single thing..I have always persevere in any hardships I've been in, but I wonder, if I can hang on any longer...maybe I will..
I would like to think that I've been good to those close to me or the ones who are not so close...be it personally or professionally...I've always given it my all, not 40%, but 100% in almost everything..I wonder if all of it is futile...
I'm at a point in my life where I should make important decisions, of which may determine my direction in life.
Questions ringing in my head, should I, could I, will I, must I...I sense that this is a turning point, may be good, may be bad.
Whatever my actions will be, one thing's for sure, I am gonna do it my way as it has always been for the past 25 years, almost coming to 26, and always will be.
Aah..decisions, decisions...

The Long Goodbye
A year is but a time spent together,
A year meant so much because it was with her,
A journey of life with endless possibilities,
Ended in the shroud of realities.
The heart seems to flourish with love and hope,
Only to be shattered with a tragedy that one cannot cope,
Wrestling with different emotions at the same time,
Only to remember that we were two lovers in crime.
Parting ways is a norm that should not be,
Circumstances prevent us from being happy,
Hard not to be sad when you are away,
But I'll remain strong knowing we will be ok.
Destiny plays a nasty trick on us,
How can one endure without losing part of oneself?
The mind can survive but can the heart really trust?

Suprise!!..
I went to Kluang the other day..It was kinda boring as I was covering the Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein's function back 2 back.
However, the whole day in Kluang seems worth it as I came across this cute doggie named 'Along', part of the police K-9 unit.
This particular post is dedicated to this cute doggie and its many skills!! Enjoy!!!

WHT A SATURDAY
This is the sequel to my previous entry. What started out as a boring Saturday became interesting at noon when I had to do another story-a reaction by the public on reducing toll charges at the Second Link. Well, that was done and dusted in just a couple of minutes.

However, as soon as the secondary school competition ended at 7.30pm, my day soon turned a wave of hectic-ness. I had to interview the winners of the two categories-lower secondary and upper secondary. Not only the students, but the teachers and parents as well, mind you, each team have 3 students.

-good ol Rahman E, my partner in crime hard at work, hehehe

My Star JB Bureau Colleague from the Circulation department Suresh selling Star's magazines and book..'Lu mahu beli ke tak?'wtf, hahha

After all that was done by 8pm, I had to rush back to office as my HQ wanted the story by 9pm. I was on max-turbo-mode and managed to complete the story within the allocated time but my job was not done yet. I still had to caption 12 photos, well, within 10 minutes.
After the final 'send' button was clicked upon, I heave a sigh of relief. From slow to hectic just like that!!
My only consolation was that the lower-secondary category was won by teams from my old school English College or Maktab Sultan Abu Bakar wtf, hahahaa. It gave me great pride in interviewing them, heck after I was done with the interview, I told them that I was from their school and they said, what better reporter to interview them than me, hahahaha wtf!!

-My fellow comrades of English College (EC)
Hence, what a day but tomorrow beckons.

MIND NUMBING SATURDAY!!
Its Saturday morning, what normal people would spend lazying at home on the couch and watch TV all day...but not me, I'm covering a RHB-Star Mighty Minds competition involving secondary school kids from all over the state.
The best part, its a whole day event, from 9.30am all the way to 7.30pm. The only consolation is that it is held in City Square Johor Baru Shopping Mall, hehehe. So I can online and have my dosage of Starbucks, woohoo!!
Well, I'm not alone in this as my partner in crime Rahman E is lurking nearby. His job has started as he has to take loads of pixs as its our company's project. My job actually starts when all the winners are announced way in the evening.
I guess I could think of worst ways to spend my Saturdays, wtf!!hahahah..what better way to pass the time that blog and surf the world wide web.
Will put up all the pixs next time. Lookout for my next update, I'm just waiting for some inspiration wtf, ahahahah

Public Enemies

My best buddy Logan and me expected a rather exciting and pulse-racing movie when we went to watch Public Enemies starring Johhny Depp and Christian Bale. However, it was not what we expected.
The story focuses on John Dillinger, one of the most famous villain during 1930s America. It showcased his crime-spree of robbing banks but not their customers up to the day when he was killed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). It also showed the nemesis-like competition between Dillinger and the man, tasked at catching him- Agent Melvin Purvis (played by Christian Bale).
The actions sequences were fantastic with the sounds of the Tommy-Gun barreling down on the police as the robbers were making their escape. However, the plot was pretty straight forward and for a lack of better term, dry. Don't get me wrong, I knew that Dillinger was going to be killed at the end of the movie having read about him sometime ago.

I feel that there was less focus on Dillinger and Purvis characters, and more towards the storyline and settings of America during those times. The two main characters were not played off each other and no character development took place.

Even the one dialogue those two shared with each other did not show the chemistry of two main rivals fighting for supremacy. As a result, the story became quite blend..
That being said, the movie is highly watchable for its action aspect. The only savior was Johhny Depp with his excellent acting prowess. Sadly, Bale, of Batman fame, was pretty wooden in his acting (pain for me to say this as I am a big fan).

It managed to capture the mood and ambiance of that era with attention-to-detail sets of houses, banks, guns, costumes and cars.
We kinda get the hint that a movie is boring when the most memorable thing Logan and me agreed upon was how much we longed for a smoke as many of the scenes has the characters smoking wtf!!hahahaha.
Good try by director Michael Mann, but it still fell off the mark for me.

Weird Restaurants in JB
I'm having a very stress-free today that everything seems in place and the way it supposed to be. Finished three stories from the state assembly and check the stringer (free lance reporters) stories and I'm done.
So, me and Wan Alfred decided to walk down to the Mamak nearby and all behold, we came across a rather interesting sight, a new restaurant opening with the name..wait for it...'The Restaurant with No Sign Board' wtf!!hahaahaha..yeah, and the best part the name was written on the freakin signboard..hahaahah..I thought I've seen it all but heck, this is a surprise for me.
That incident jogged my memory of other zany restaurant's names that I've come across. One in Taman Pelangi as well is one of the clincher-'Kedai Makanan and Minuman'..I'm like duh!!You cannot get more obvious than that wtf!!!hahaha...and another one in Sentosa with the name-'Poh Pye' with the pix of a Malaysian version of Popeye wtf!!!hahaahah
JB is full of these kind of restaurants! Damn I feel like I should write a story about it but well I might face a lawsuit, hahaha.
I'm just randomly rambling, until next time..

Weekend of destressing..
It was four days well spent and a weekend of shopping that was long overdue. Above all, it was the one the weekend was spent with that matters. A bittersweet weekend but one of which we both needed.
No regrets as I enjoy every moment spent with you and I hope that you do too. Now the week is upon us and I have no doubt that we can overcome any challenges. Don't stress too much and always remember, you are not alone in this.

HIGH SEAS ADVENTURE
A day in a life of a journalist...One day I'm on marine police boat going to Pengerang in Kota Tinggi for a seizure of ciggies worth millions and the next day, I'm all formal attending the state assembly.
I gotta admit, the boat ride was rather refreshing as I got to hang out with my buddies on a rather fun assignment but rather taxing as the heat of the sea took its toll on me. It doesn't help that we experienced a 'perfect storm' moment en route to the location wtf!!ahhaha.
The best part my pix man mr Rahman E was on a separate boat and truth be told, the boat he was on malfunctioned but it was repaired but he was too late for the press conference. We ended up taking pixs from our buddy paper Utusan Malaysia, hehehe.
So, today its work as usual at the state assembly. Its a new location in Kota Iskandar but so far no complaints yet.
I will give a proper update later, see how the day turns out..hahaha..

TIME
It was supposed to be a hell of a surprise for you but it was not to be. I was crushed but I understand what you are going through.
You told me that you needed time to think about the possibility of a second chance for 'us'. You told me that you can't commit as long as as their is doubt in your mind and in your heart.
If time is what you need, then I will give it to you my soulmate and my best friend. I believe our love for each other never waned and we both know how each other feels about one another.
I never regretted showing up at your Orientation Night, nor did i regret giving you the 'surprise'. I did it because I love you. My action comes from the heart and I followed my instinct.
Time was asked, time was given.

UTTERLY SPENT
It has been a hell of a week. Lets just say that hectic is an understatement. The Safe Home Campaign is due to be launched on May 30, but, the work has begun.
Starting from last Wednesday, its like a whole work load has been entrusted upon me, from coming up with stories and producing them in abundance because its The Star's campaign.
I'm just scared of burning out before the whole thing is done. It is all the more harder when I have not been sleeping well these last couple of nights.
On top of that, I am expected to go for multiple assignments and even check stories but I guess, I relish in the pressure. You know what they say, once a workaholic, always a workaholic.
I'm not really passionate about the campaign but I'll try my best to fulfill my responsibilities.
However, the campaign does incite some nostalgic feelings in me. Back then, I had a team of colleagues whom I trusted, depended on and quite close with. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the present group can't be relied on but it's a whole new ball game when I'm sort of leading the pack and plus, I don't really know them.
Its a whole new territory for me, but I'm determined to succeed. In truth, its not just the campaign, but the job as a whole. A senior colleage is leaving and suddenly I'm sort of the second in command (sort of) hahah.
I don't know what to expect but I hoped that I have the support of my friends, especially in these trying of times.

METROPOLITANO
I've been catching up on reading and a thought crossed my mind.
The world seems to be a metropolitan with endless activities, muffles of voices heading to somewhere or doing something. Are these activities meaningful or are we merely subjected to follow a routine of life per se?
Is it possible to be surrounded by people, even friends and feel alone at the same time? Has the globalised world, in its quest to move forward, discard or even neglected the individuals, who are left behind.
How do we discern our role in this world? Where do we stand in the ever-ruthless food-chain of the world?
Yes, we are 'so-called' free to do as we like, pursuing our 'own goals' and 'dreams' but are we? Aren't we forced to conform to the whimps of expectations bestowed upon us by the very social landscape that we are living in?
Something to ponder about I guess....

RUTHLESS MAMAK
I know that mamak stalls and restaurants are pretty inconsistent with their pricing but this one in Nilai really takes the cake out of any mamaks ever.
I was in Nilai last weekend to see my beloved cookiness. While waiting for her to finish class, I decided to lepak at a mamak nearby her college and online for abit.
After ordering a glass of teh tarik (I know bee, should indulge in it because of sugar content wtf, heheh), I plugged in my laptop adaptor to a nearby socket.
I was happily onlining and was ready to go pick up my baby when she was done with classes. So I asked for the bill, and the waiter asked me, "Sudah berapa lama guna elektrik? I answered for about an hour and you know what? The guy charged me a freakin RM1.50 for the electricity alone.
I left the mamak thinking what the hell just happened. I felt conned and thought whether the recession was that bad.
I've been using mamak's electricity from all over Johor and even Kuala Lumpur and I have never been charged before. Hell even Starbucks, Coffebean, or other cafes' dont charge for theirs.
That was the first and last visit to that mamak wtf hahaha. I learned my lesson and not ever, ever going there again.
However, the minor setback was worth it because I get to spend the whole weekend with hunny bee.
I bet you guys are wondering how come its been more than two eeks since my last post, well stay tuned for the next post to find out.

BIG FOOT SIGHTINGS IN JOHOR AGAIN?
Don't be alarmed by the headline, its not like that at all hahaha.
I was sitting in the office on Monday bored out of my wits when i received a call via the office line from a Singaporean Finance Adviser.
I thought to myself, shit did I invest in anything in the island republic?hmm, then I realised that can't be.
It turned out this guy wanted to talk to me regarding the big foot sightings story, which I did over three years ago. He said he was fascinated by the Big foot phenomenon and wanted to know of any latest developments.
I was sad to inform him there was none and the trail had turned cold as early as 2007. However, since he called because of my story and I was a little bit flattered, I then told him of my adventures hunting for the elusive big foot.
I told him that most of the sightings in Kota Tinggi, Mersing and Kluang in 2006 was based on personal accounts of the orang asli. Quite honestly, I told him I had doubts over the credibility of these people as what they saw might borders on the 'supernatural' (woo, scary shit wtf).
I also explained to him that no concrete proof had been brought forward from any seekers, orang asli or even the nature society. This one guy, who led the so-called Johor Nature Society even published the 'eyes' of the creature but was later proven as a hoaxed. (I know right, the nerve to be famous wtf).
I told this curious man that if the sightings were real, shouldnt we have any real proof by now. He even asked me about some other story from other newspapers that claimed a man saw a family of these creatures. Then I told him based on logic, that if there are that many, surely alot of prints, or even skulls could be obtained.
Alas, he told me that the reason he called was because I was one of the first to report the sightings and actually talked to the orang asli. He also mentioned he was planning to go big foot hunting in Mersing, just for the fun and adventure aspect of it.
I told him that he could do that but don't expect much. I even told him of my and my photographer delusion of grandeur' to win an award and earn millions should we get the first picture of this creature (hahahaha, so much for that dream).
I thanked the guy for his call and although dissapointed, he was glad to have an insight on the big foot phenomenon.
In my opinion, the big huha in Johor in 2006 about his big (no punt intended) creature was just a marketing ploy by the state goverment to boost tourism wtf. However, whether the creature really exists or not, remains a mystery that I'm sure most of us would like to wonder about.
Below is the story guys

Villagers’ close encounter with Bigfoot
STORY AND PIC BY FARIK ZOLKEPLI
01/01/06 - The Star
KLUANG: It looks human but has fur the shades of dark red and black covering its face and body, stands about 4m tall and lets out a loud roar.
That is how the orang asli villagers from Batu 25, Kampung Punjat Sungai Nadik, in Kahang, about 190km from Johor Baru, described a creature known as siamang or better known as Bigfoot.
One of the villagers supposedly even had a 15-minute standoff with the creature and has stopped going into the jungle alone.
Recalling his horrifying experience four months ago, Amir Md Ali said he was catching frogs in the Gunung Panti jungles to sell when he stumbled upon the creature.
“I was heading to my favourite spot when I suddenly saw this tall creature about 30m away.
“I was trembling with fear as the creature stared at me,” he said, adding that he did not move for about 15 minutes.
Amir, who initially thought the creature would leave, decided to run when the creature continued to stare at him.
“I did not look back and continued running until I reached my village,” he said, showing a clearing in the jungle where the standoff occurred to some 50 people who took part in an expedition to gather information on the Bigfoot sightings in the state.
The one-day expedition, led by Johor National Parks director Hashim Yusof, comprised park officials and press members.
Another villager, Herman Deraman, 21, or better known as Along, had a closer encounter with the creature in the woods.
“I was resting one night in a wooden hut on stilts after a long day of collecting bamboo strips.
“Suddenly, the hut started shaking violently,” he said, adding that soon after that, he heard a loud roar that sounded like that of a wild beast.
That incident kept him awake the whole night.
The next day, he encountered the creature again but this time at the place he usually gathered bamboo.
“I thought I saw a tree shaking but after a while, I realised there was a huge creature sitting down and rubbing itself against the tree.
“Luckily, the creature did not see me as its back was facing me,” he said.
Kampung Punjat Sungai Nadik is home to about 30 orang asli families who earn a living by gathering and selling produce collected from the jungle.
Hashim said the expedition was aimed at ascertaining the truth on the existence of the Bigfoot.
“We want to uncover the truth about this creature and also quash any rumour that can scare away visitors to the national park,” he said, adding that some 124,000 people visited the parks annually.
Hashim said they were also compiling a database on Bigfoot or orang mawas sightings at various spots.

A DIE HARD MAN U FAN

I am a Manchester United aka the Red Devils aka MAN U fan since I was in primary school and to say that I am a die hard fan is an understatement wtf haha.
Favourite player of all time regardless of any clubs or countries is none other than the legend himself Mr Ryan Giggs. He is the personificcation of a true professional and I followed his career since I first watched the devils in action 12 or 13 years ago. At 35, Giggsy is still going strong as an old guard of the team.
This season we (woo, like I owned or I am part of the team wtf hahaha) already bagged the world club championship and now the latest is the League Cup against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday that ended in a 4-1 penalty shoot-out.

I am optimistic that the devils can grab up to five trophies this season with the Fa Cup, Champions League and the Primier League on the horizon but I will be happy if they won only two of those (guess laa which one, hehehe). What the hell, I want them to win all of it because we are the very best, muahahahah (sorry bee, I think Chelsea is a good team too).

I hope and pray that the devils will create history by winning the quintuple (five trophies) but if they don't, I will still be a true devil through and through.
Some people might questioned the sanity of watching men going after one ball in the middle of the field. Well that is because they don't understand the drama, joy and passion being a football fan.
To me, it is not whether you win a bet on a game (I really don't believe in betting on football, let alone other sports) because a true fan stays loyal no matter what happens.
I am proud to support the devils and I will continue to do for many years to come. One of my dreams is to watch a MAN U match at Old Trafford in Manchester, England. I hope that I will be able to do so.
All the best to the devils and always 'Glory Glory Man United'.

BORN TO BE WILD-RALLYING THAT IS..
Rally racing never seems to interest me as I am all football (MANU BABY!!wtf) and sometimes badminton kinda guy but the chance to cover the Motor Image Racing Team (MIRT) and their star racers; three-time Asia Pacific Racing Championship (APRC) champion Cody Crocker and first ever female driver Emma Gilmour was a very different and rewarding experience indeed.
I went to the MIRT media preview not knowing what to expect but I was blown away by the sight of the new MY09 Subaru Impreza WRX STI car. Let me tell you, it is an impressive piece of contraption.
Seeing the racers and the car in action was damn impressive but being in the passenger seat while they are doing all the stunts was simply awesome and spectacular!!! They are going at top speed on some rough palm oil plantation soil with rarely doing any brakings.
There was this one time when Cody was turning a corner at top speed and I felt like I was really going to fly ala on a rolly coaster ride. Suprisingly, i made it through. Not because of luck but the folks at MIRT is strict on safety measures. Yours truly had to wear a helmet (made me look like a bloated pumpkin wtf, hahah), and to top it all of, a safety belt that literally strapped me in the seat.
Cody and me (far left..can barely see me) about to take a ride in the Subaru Impreza.
As a bonus, the racers themselves were humble and easy going. It made it easier for me to interview them. Cody for one, even had a good sense of humour. While he was driving the car at top speed, for the sake of making small talk I asked him-'So how long have you been doing this? (in nervous, almost scared voice, wtf) and he replied-'oh since six days ago (in thick aussie accent) after a pause he said-'Just kiddin mate, its been so many years and you have nothing to worry about'(with a slight giggle).
Now on the car. The MY09 Subaru Impreza WRX STI is simply built for a variety of rough terrains and simply put-SPEED. On the market it can cost almost RM250,000 and so the chance to ride it was too hard to miss.
After that wonderful experience, I had to write a feature story on Emma Gilmour. Fun over and now to work. I was cracking my head on how to do the story as I had never did a feature story before this.
I dwelled upon it for up to three days before i spent last Tuesday night and best part of Wednesday afternoon finishing it (for the record its the longest I ever took to finish a story). Nervously, I begin to imagine the criticism and harsh words that would be uttered by the Startwo editor.
However, when I called her the same Wednesday night, she told me that she really liked my intro (the starting of a story) and I began to feel a little bit relief.
The intro is like this- Listening to Sweet Child Of Mine by Guns N Roses just before races might calm her nerves, but rally driver Emma Gilmour is all adrenaline once she revved up the engine.
Not bad for someone who never did a rally story or a feature story eeh? (blowing my own trumpet wtf).
I guess all the hard work paid off because the article was finally published in The Star's StarMag today (Sunday, March 1).
Oh yeah, my photographer and I spotted a Subaru crew member who looked like our colleague Eng Hock, hahah wtf. I even took a picture with the guy just to show the actual Eng Hock, haha.
All in all, it was a rewarding experience and I don't mind doing such article again...but not so soon please, hehehe.
Check it out, below is the story.

Finally Found Someone
Baby, although we are hundreds of kilometres apart, trust that you are never far from my mind. In fact, you never left my mind or my heart in every single thing that I do. As I get by each day without you here, be it work or days off, or even hanging out with the guys at mamak, my mind would always wonder off to the thoughts of you my love.
Each day passes bringing me closer and closer to seeing you again. Long distance is not easy but I believe that we will make it work no matter what because we are meant for each other. The challenges will keep on coming bee but trust that I will always be there for you.
This particular week that you've been busy-I just want you to know that I understand. Don't get me wrong, i feel left out at times but I know that it is something that you have to do and I'm standing by you every step of the way.
Four years of studying is a long time to wait baby, but i would wait forever, just to know that you are mine.
Baby, whenever you feel stressed or faced with tensioned, know that I believe in you and you can overcome any obstacles once you set your mind to it.
I guess good ol' Bryan Adams is right...
When you love someone, you'll do anything,
You shoot the moon, put out the sun,
When you love someone.
You'll deny the truth,
Believe a lie,
There'll be time when you believe,
You can really fly,
Your lonely nights,
Have just begun,
When you love someone.
Baby, I know that I could be overbearing at times and for that I ask your forgiveness. I know sometimes I could be hard to deal with and for that too I am sorry darling.
Life is a wonderful mystery my love and I want to figure it out with you baby. You are the breath of fresh air in my life after more than 24 years of wondering the world searching for 'the one'.
I know I have found 'the one' to spend the rest of my life and that someone is you. My soulmate, my bestfriend, my future-wife, my life, my everything.
In the words of a song we both know and love...I've finally found someone...

The Wrestler

I watched the movie 'The Wrestler' on DVD (yes pirated wtf) the other day, partly because I am a wrestling fan and proud of it. (I know what your are thinking-why watched a fake sport to begin with rite?). I had no expectation of the movie as I thought it was only a fun-watch.
However, lemme tell you..I was blown away by Mickey Rourke's performance as he did the professional wrestling industry some form of justice. The story line was not what I expected. It tells a story of a down and out wrestler, who is trying to find his way in life.
The story shys away from the glamour of sports entertainment and instead focused on how wrestler Randy 'The Ram' Robinson (Rourke's character) gets by every single day by earning minimum wages and doing something he loves-wrestling. It shows how hard a wrestler had to go through in the first scene itself where Randy just came home after a house show (wrestling event) and to find his trailer locked by the tenant because of overdue rent.

He had to juggle working at a supermarket during weekdays and wrestling during weekends with just barely to get by. The story hit a turning point when Randy suffered a heart attack and had to retire from wrestling.
After a heart bypass, Randy realizes that he is all alone with no family nor friends except for a stripper named Cassidy played by Marisa Tomei. He tried to make amends with his 20 something daughter, whom he left behind when she was younger. However, tried as he did, he kept making the same mistakes and failed to connect with her.

Randy with his daughter Stephanie trying to mend the ties between them.

Randy sharing his problems with Cassidy
All the heartbreaks of everyday life took its toll on Randy until he snapped and quit his job at the supermarket and decided to return to the ring for one last match.

Cassidy tried to stop him because of his heart condition but before leaving for the match, he told her 'Out there, everyone hurts me, here is where I belong' .
Randy wrestled his arch-nemesis called the Ayotollah for his last ever match. Sadly, he died after completing his signature move.

I was really moved by this movie as it showed the challenges that a wrestler had to go through. People think its fake, yeah at least as far as a story line is concerned but the injuries are very real.
It showed how professional the wrestlers are as they are friends with each other even if on TV they are supposedly enemies, who beat each other out. They even look out for each other.
I really feel for Randy as he tried to make amends for his past mistakes but to no avail. It showed how professional wrestling ought to be portrayed. The movie's success is largely due to Rourke's performance and I think he deserved an Oscar.
As a wrestling fan, I am glad that such a movie was made. I am really thankful that these guys are given a fair and balance portrayal for a change.
By the way, I don't watch WWE anymore because of work and other commitments but once in a while it is fun to see the show dubbed the male soap-opera.

3-YEAR-OLD GIRL ABANDONED
I was having a very mundane Monday until i stumbled upon the story of a little Chinese girl abandoned with just a plastic bag filled with clothing and nothing more near a flat in Skudai.
At first i thought it was normal as i had encountered other more gruesome stuff in my short years as a journalist but then after awhile it hit me. What kind of parents will leave a child to fend for herself.
Luckily a passer-by noticed the girl at about 12.10am on Monday and sent her to the police station. If that good samaritan hadn't done so, who knows what would have happened to her.
Worst still, the police don't know who she is as she had no documents such as a birth-cert. The search is still on for her relatives and next of kin.
I felt angrier at the parents for abandoning their child once i saw her very very cute pix. It is unfair to this child as she had done nothing wrong to deserve such a fate.

I truly hope that the child's relatives will come forward and in a way rescue her. I will definitely pray for her well-being.
The story may or may not be published in the newspapers but i just want people to know my feelings on it.
Alas, mundane Monday became a much profound one.
